The little details: playing with date display

The little details is a new category about what tiny details can make a good or just average design. Details give depth to a website in ways that the user does not always see but feel nonetheless.

Today’s “little details” will focus on the date display. Particularly present on blog, the date is often left aside and displayed as a simple string. While this approach is indeed working for some designs, other take advantage of this added information to play with typography, space or support the rest of the design with colours.

But lets have a look at some examples:

    I think I prefer the examples 1 (noupe) and 5 (inspiringpixel), when the date display make also a clear separation :)
